Fresh lt80 engine, no power
Picked up a 89 lt80 not running for the grandson. completly went through the motor. crank was ok,installed new bearings and seals. bought the cheap chinese top end off e bay. kit was pretty nice for the money. carb was completley gummed up so i cleaned it and installed a carb kit with new air filter. engine fires right up with the choke, it will run with the choke off and will rev fine with the rear wheels off the ground. put it on the ground and it won't go anywhere. it has no power. after reading a bunch of post i am thinking the clutch is locking up to soon. i have to turn idle way down or it wants to engage. is there a way to check timing on these?i put ignition plate back where it was. just looking for ideas here. thanks

Welcome to the forums.
Timing: On the stator, there is a line at the 9 o'clock position, you align that line with the line on the case.
I suspect you didn't get the front clutch back on w/o a roller or 2 flopping.
Surely you went thru the front clutch and cleaned it and the rollers up.
Rear clutch bearings good?
