Default 2006 wolverine 450 shifting problems

2006 wolverine 450 hard to move shift lever into each position. Hand and foot brake are being pushed down. Will shift into gears but has to be forced. Not the way it was originally. Recently replaced rear brake line and bleed brakes.

There is a spring loaded pin actuated by a cable connected to the foot brake ,which will also be moved by the left side hand brake. this pin is mounted to the side of the box your shift lever sits in, if the pin rusts up, or the cable siezes, the pin will not fully retract, and the shifter has a hard time getting past it. I just fixed one that would not shift, pin was dry and rusty, a quick sanding and a coat of grease and it worked like new.
