Best to start your own thread.
Clean the carb to help the idle part.

Default 110cc Tao Tao

Having an issue I can't quit figure out. Throttle is stuck wide open and takes off as soon as I start it. I figured it was the carb, so instead of cleaning it I bought a new one. Throttle is still stuck open. I have ensured the slide is in properly and even bought a second carb just in case that one was bad. Still getting the same result. I have two of the same quads and the second one I replaced the carb with one of the ones I bought and it runs perfectly. The throttle still has spring back and feels just like the other quad. Any help will do!! Totally at a lost here! Could it be the cable?

Easy. Disconnect the cable at the carb. Start it up and use the carb lever to throttle up, if it's fine then it's the cable. If the cable goes on top direct to the slide, disconnect at the brake lever and start up and use the cable coming out the top of your carb to throttle up, if it's fine, then it's your cable.

Default Stalls when you give it throttle

Hi 2many, your posts are extremely helpful. I have Coolster model ATVs and keep a 125cc and 150cc running for my kids and wife to enjoy around the neighborhood trials (we live in a rural area in Fl). My 150cc bike just started symptoms of stalling when you get beyond a small feathering of the throttle. It ran amazingly the day before but now seems like it’s gone extremely lean. Am I missing something simple? Want suggestions on how to troubleshooting or the order I can start to eliminate the source of problems?
