hellojust joined this forum tonight. i've been reading posts on here for a few weeks now and just purchased a vbike v4s today 11/10/08. can't wait to get it and put it together. sounds like i'm gonna have a blast on it. My kids has a 90cc quad and i ride it every once in awhile and i feel like i can kill myself on it cause as light as it is and the power i pull on the bars and gas it the front end wants to come around and kiss the back end lol well i'll take pics when it gets here and let you guys know what i think of the vbike

Congats rptrraceschevy on your purchase. Waiting for it to come is the hard part. I have had my V4S since Feb 08 and it is running strong.
Take your time putting it together. Locktite all the fasteners you can, except engine hardware. Things to consider upgrading would be the fuel lines, air filter, and main fuse holder.
If you are handy with a wrench, upkeep is easy and the V4S should give you plenty of fun for a long time.
If letting the ATV sit for long periods of time I recomend using STA-BIL in the gas to prevent the fuel from gumming up the carburator and making it hard to start. I keep STA-BIL in it all the time and have never had hard starting issues.
Have fun with it and let us know how you like it.

rptrraceschevy,
Congratulations on your purhcase. I have not been on the forum for quite awhile, but have had the vbike V4S for about 10 months. My boys and I have done about a dozen camping/4 wheeling trips this year and I have done everything short of submerging mine and it has held up well. I probably have about 700 miles of trailing on it in all conditions. The only two real complaints I have is that alot of components will rust easily if you dont keep them covered in grease or WD-40 and the chain sucks. It stretches out to easily. You would be best suited to replace it with an aftermarket one right out of the gate.
Enjoy it!
