VBike or Jetmoto 250

Also, Kman's bike has the same plastics as mine, so I do not understand about the different styling. Mine is setting lower, as I have made it that way. Also, speed on camera is interpreted. You can tell alot about the bikes powerband by listening rather than looking. Check out my vids. Do a search of JetMoto 250 on you tube, or on here.
If you see my latest vid, and look, you can see my front tires hopping when shifting for first to second, and second to third. Also, I can get the front wheels up in the air without dumping the clutch, and moving upwards of 10 miles per hour. That is VERY respectable for a chinker 250, with a 6'4, 230 lb. rider.

I agree with everything you said. I do not know about the carb thing on the Jets and I really like both. There are some very subtle differences on the VBike that stand out to me like the graphics, although small, I guess that just mostly comes down to personal taste more than anything. I really guess you made my point, if they are the same out of the box and pretty equal all the way around, then I guess the cost becomes the differentiator and for $800.00 less than the Jet, it is a much easier decision.
It doesn't surprise me that is the case versus the Honda's. I have been really impressed with my kids Kazuma's, they will move with me on them, so I can imagine the Jet 250 or the VBike probably run pretty well. I can honestly say that so far not flipping $2,500.00 a piece for a couple of TRX 90's has been a good decision, time will tell if that remains true or not. I am sure that those Honda's will be around long after my kids Kazuma's, but in my case, I don't need them to be. They will have been bored and on to something bigger, which then will most likely be a Honda.
I have found all of the varying opinions and experiences helpful and insightful. I think there is no substitution for experience. You two guys have been the most helpful having each owned one and apparently modifyed them both a little.

I was going to say that I thought he had done some work to the heads and exhaust, which if it was lacking some power would be exacty where I would start. So if you add in the cost and time of head/valve work and an exhaust plus the initial cost of the unit, then the spread gets bigger.

Well, I just got done ordering the 250 v4s from Tim. He emailed me my shipping and receipt in about 10 minutes. I should have it on Monday, he will call me back tomorrow afternoon to confirm and give me a tracking number. I ordered it in Black with Red graphics. He was good on the price, even gave a little more off the web price beyond the $50.00 for phone ordering. Very nice guy. Said if there was any problems upon delivery, note it with the driver and call him. He will take care of it right away. I will keep everyone apprised how it goes from here.
Thanks for all of the help and input.

Awsome you got the fastest color! I would not be surprised it he calls you on your due date and ask you if you recieved your bike and if everything is ok with it.Thats what he did with me.
I have no doubt you will be very happy with your purchase.Like I said in other posts threads of this forum,I have owned one other bike for a short period of time and it was a hibird 250 and it was well worth the money, but between the hibird and the vbike its night and day.

Next question:
I am now needing to find an open trailer (preferably as light as possible, aluminum perhaps) that will eventually hold 4 atvs (optimistic that wife will cave in for one). I saw a 3 position Phoenix trailer at familygokarts.com for $1,449.00 delivered. It was 6' x 12.5' with a rear gate/ramp. Any ideas on one that would be a little wider so I could go side by side with 4? Maybe even less on price?

I seriously doubt you will come close to getting four on that size. I am fixing to order a 6.5x16, and by my calculation, that will get my Jet, Wolverine, Predator 90, and Raptor 80 on there if I turn one of the big ones sideways.
Kman, how much assembly did you have to do on your Vbike? Also, thanks for the compliment! It took about 5 hours total working time to do the work I did. I had a friend come back and put the head back on and adjust everything, other than that, all me.

Keep us posted with updates of your new vbike, I do think the Jet and vbike are real close all around but I got to give the edge to vbike for the price. Would really love to go riding with one to really see the differences. Care to stop by Utah with you vbike and go for a ride?
