Hey guys. my 4x4 light on my dash has never worked ever since i bought my used jianshe 400. i do see a wire that just hangs down. it has a green tip on it if my memory serves me correctly. does this wire hook up to the 4x4 device some where? i thought that i said a while ago that the yamaha clutch did work great. i couldnt find it so i figured id post it again.

Hi, is the wire hanging down in front near the differential? If so it could be it, but I since I have several errands to run early today, I won't be able to varify the color until this afternoon. If you don't mind waiting until I can check, I'll get back to you.

ok, so it is a small wire, it has a green tip. it hangs in the frount. i think it must either be the 4x4 light or it might be the temp light becase the loops that it goes through looks like it might plug into the engine? the 4x4 light and the temp light are the only lights that dont work on my dash. well i beleve that the temp light dosnt work i have never seen it light up.

Sorry bout getting back so late. The errands turned in more than just simple things. Anyway, the wire leading to the 4X4 light switch on the differential is black wire with a green colored connector. Female I believe but I didn't pull it off to see for certain. Hope that helps.

Theres a short lever on the back left side of the front dif with a rod attatched that runs up to the 4X4 lever. The connector the wire plugs into should be in the vicinity of the short lever. I'm not where I can look at mine to be more specific, but you should be able to see it by crawling under the left side of the machine and looking for it. It's aimed straight back or should be if it's like mine. Hope that helps, if not I'll let me know
