Default Kazuma Falcon 110 Difficulty Starting

Hello!

I have an 05 Kazuma Falcon 110 (I believe the Deluxe as it's a mid-size ATV). Recently I had a hard time getting it to start. Finally one day I got it to start but it kept wanting to choke down. I finally got it running and was able to go around the the neighborhood with it w/ no problems. However, this weekend I tried to start it and it cranks, but it just won't start no matter what.

Not very mechanically inclined, about all I do to it is change the oil and occasionally run some carb cleaner in the gas.

Spark/ sparkplug issue? Something else? Appreciate any help.

Id guess the carb needs to be taken apart and cleaned..If your still using the Chinese spark plug Id replace it with a NGK C7HSA..

Hard starting (or eventually no starting) when cold is also a symptom of valves that need adjusting. This is a periodic maintanence item. Valves tighten up with wear, and they tighten more when cold. When was the last time the valves were adjusted?

Is that the adjustment screws on the carb? I have attempted to adjust those and has helped but ultimately won't stay running. Going to change the original Chinese 5 year old spark plug today.

No.
There is an intake and exhaust valve that open and close in the cylinder allowing fuel to enter(intake) and exhaust to exit(exhaust. They have adjusters to tighten or loosen the valve.
Take off the valve covers, put piston on TDC compression stroke, using appropriate feeler guage, there should be a slight drag on the feeler guage. If not adjust as needed.
Maybe LynnEdwards or another knows what the valve clearances are, I used to know but don't recall what it was since I no longer have my Falcon.

Thanks for the tips... However it must be way over my head as I didn't even understand any of it. I changed the spark plug, still having the same problems. (cranks but won't start).

I got it running finally. I came across a post that said they could get theirs to run w/out the air filter box so I tried that and took apart the box which looked pretty clean still. Got it running decently by dropping some gas in the carb, then put the box back on. I really don't know what I'm doing but it seemed to work! :P

It's smoking a bit now but I assume it's the sea foam going through the carb....
