Default Marshin 110 with no spark

Sorry I posted this in the other forum. I need help with the quad. There is no spark and I have charged the battery, changed plugs, Test the coil on another quad(It works), The cdi on the bad quad is a 4 pin and I have some other 5 pin CDIs. Tried the 4 pin on the 5 pin bike and got spark, but the bike wouldn't run. The 5 pin on the bad bike won't make it spark either. The stator is a 6 coil with4 wires. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I traced it back to the key switch. It wasn't getting 12vdc to the CDI. Now I hope I can find a 3 wire switch.

Your 5 pin CDI's are AC powered off the stator. 4 pin CDI's are DC powered off the battery. I would not wire DC CDI's into AC wiring harnesses or vice versa. Often this results in a bang, smoke, and fresh new holes in a now dead CDI.

I don't know about your ignition switch. Obviously two wires are for supplying switched battery power to the wiring harness. I wonder what the other wire is for? Most chinese quads have a four wire switch with the other two wires used to kill the spark when switched to the off position.
