Carb is definitely dirty...could cause a sticky choke.. or it could be bad..

Ok, so How do I clean? Also, what is that pin just under the throttle cable with the cracked rubber grummet. Do I need to worry about it?

Looks like this might be my carb but it states that it is for a 50cc....... Would they put this on a 80cc bike?

Looks similar... what is important is the size of the bore thru the carb... if its the same as the one in the link... it should work..

Can you see any numbers on your carb?

The carb will need to be removed to be cleaned or replaced... might as well remove it and look for numbers if you cant see them.

It needs to be taken completely apart... all screws...jets..brass nuts..float.. needle..etc needs to be removed and carb cleaner sprayed thru all passages/holes.

I have been thinking of making a Carb Cleaning post...complete with pics and explanations..

Just been too busy to get to it..

It might help to find a parts break down of your carb or one similar to use as a reference as you take things off the carb....Since youve got a digital camera...take LOTS of pics as you take it apart..

I am leaning towards replacing the carb.....However the thing that scares me is that the carb that I found on the net states that it is for a 50cc moped/scooter engine.....It looks just like mine and it is the only one that I have found that looks like mine....Will it work? I am just not sure if I clean this one that I will get the needles and everything adjusted right.....

Also, the plunger that is beneath the throttle (guessing that it is the fuel pump) looks worn. Not sure if it is working correctly......Only looks like it goes down half way.....
