kazuma 150 falcon, turns over wont start
#2
thanks for explaining the "no start". that's good. if it turns over at regular speed(not a low battery) and it has a good spark(how did you test for that?), you need fuel. don't know the history of the quad, but, have you cleaned the carb/jets? have you tried to open the bowl drain screw to see if gas is in the float? after cranking, did you check spark plug for gasoline wetness? is the petcock valve on the bottom of the tank on? is fuel getting to the carb via the hose(did you take hose off to verify fuel flow to carb)? not trying to be Mr. Obvious, but there is fuel in the tank right? make sure the choke is on for cold start, later it will need to be off for warm start. these questions are not designed to question intelligence, merely to relay info to get on the same page and make sure all bases are covered. that way we can get you running.

Fair questions no offense taken!
I checked spark by taking the plug out grounding it and turning it over. Saw good blue spark.
Fuel is in tank and the shut off valve is open, i took the hose off that goes into carb and it does let fuel flow. Then put it back on the carb.
I have not taken the carb apart or anything like that. Plug was dry does not seam to get fuel to it.
The bike will not fire at all, i figure if it got anyfuel it would at least fire. I am not much of a mechanic and never worked on a chinese bike before. But i got to be missing something obvious i feel. Is there a kill switch or anything on these i may be missing?
any ideas please let me know

my regular computer is down. when i get it running this afternoon, i'll PM you a pictorial about cleaning your carb/jets. here's one of many videos on how to clean one. be careful. don't lose any parts. pay attention to detail and orientation. the orifices on the jets are critical to get clean. you gotta see daylight through each one of the orifices. that's critical.

scroll down about halfway until you see the mikuni carb that looks familiar and its heading is marked disassembly. follow that. it's self explanatory. obviously reassembly is the opposite steps. this is from ripperds.com.
it's the pictorial.

Engines need the right fuel/air mix to start, sometimes starting fluid shoves in too much, or not enough. Clean the carb out, checking float bowl for dirt and water, these will stop the carb from working properly and indicates the tank may need a clean out too. Fit a new plug and do a compression test, less than 90psi indicates something is wrong and makes engines bad to start.
