CoolSports 25 Clutch
#1
****Edit**** This is a Coolsports 250 Sport model. I can't edit the title of the thread
I allowed a cousin to ride this ATV, who has never ridden anything with a manual transmission. Half way through the ride, I have to make a rescue, as the clutch has been fried. I ordered a new clutch basket n plate assembly from ebay, and yesterday decided to do the replacement. Definitely not a pluck and chuck as I expected.
I drained the oil, and could definitely smell the scent of cooked clutch plates, so I have no doubt the clutch is actually fried. I noticed something to the right of the clutch basket, with a spring loaded cover, and three screws. This item is not letting me remove the clutch basket. I didnt see anything else holding this mysterious item in place, so I assumed it was a pressed-on gear of some sort. I picked up a gear puller, and attempted to remove. Needless to say, it snapped the mysterious part. After looking further into the part, it appears there is a nut holding it on, but not your traditional hex-head.
It's clear to me that I now need to replace this item, but first, get it off. I have attached a picture, can someone please tell me what this is, and the tool needed to remove it? If I knew what it was, I could just look it up and order a replacement.

No takers on what it may be? I was able to find out a little bit of info, in the instance someone runs into a similar issue.
Oil Pump and Oil Filter
Item 2 is the one I need, but the listing of parts does not correspond to the item shown in the diagram. I just ordered everything on the page. Only time will tell!
