Default tao tao engine cover

Hey, i purchased a chinese atv 110cc for my younger son for Christmas. It runs good but i noticed it is leaking oil from the top of the right engine cover (where the gasket is). I drained the oil and removed the surrounding bolts from the engine cover to seal it. I cant budge it though. Do i do anything to the center clutch adjustment stud/nut to remove the cover? THanks in advance for responses to the newbie qst.

So it's leaking out the clutch side of the engine? I know some owners mistakenly pour oil in the stator side, which will leak out like you describe. If it's leaking on the clutch side, I'd think you'd have to remove the clutch adjusting nut to get that cover off. I'd probably call the outfit you purchased from and see if you can ship the whole machine back for a new one.
