250 cc Trailblazer- Chines manufactured quad
#1
I bought a brand new ATV. I had it running for about 10 minutes and then when i came to a stop it shutoff by itself, then it wouldnt start back up.It was trying to start but wouldnt quite turnover but had some juice. I was told to charge the batter for 6-8 hours
I charged the battery and not only did it not start it had less juice then when I tried starting it before i charged it. There was almost no turning over it was dead. The only light that came on when I turned the key is the neutral light and then when I would grab
> the brake it would go off which leads me to believe that either it is wiring or the battery any ideas???

Welcome to the forums.
Chinese brands are notorious for having bad batteries from the factory. I'd get a new battery and check the ground and see if that solves that problem.

It could be a bad battery. But it could also be that there is a problem on your quad that is draining current out of the battery faster than your charger is charging it.
Disconnect the battery from the quad, then charge it. After 6 to 8 hours of charging hook the battery up and try to start the quad. Does the starter turn?
If it does, then turn the ignition switch off and put a current meter (on the 10 amp DC scale) between the battery positive post and the wire going to the post. You should read 0 current. If you read current then you've got a load on the battery that needs to be found and fixed.
If after charging the battery (while disconnected), the starter doesn't turn after reconnecting it back up, then your battery is bad.
