Sorry for the confusion I posted how to wire a 5 pin in before I realized that my rev issues were NOT fuel related.. I need to delete my post on that!

The ignition timing is way different for a two stroke versus a 4 stroke.

BTW, the 2 connector 6 pin CDI you bought is the same internally as the 5 pin CDI above except for the connectors.
I read that it wont work but the 2nd post said it does just making sure before I spend more money

about to buy this one. someone please confirm that this is the correct one, and what is the pinout on it? wire colors do not match the wiring diagram

That's the exact one I bought and what you need! I will tell you how to match it to you're stator wires. I have to go out and look at the colors on the harness in the daylight .

Sorry I haven't got a chance to get out and look at it been crazy busy! I know this for a fact.

Orange / coil
Black / ground
Red stripe wire / red stripe wire
Black stripe wire / black stripe wire
Black with white stripe is kill switch. Grounding that one kills ignition

The Orange wire goes to your coil the black is ground. The striped wires goto hthe same colored stripe wires on you're stator and black with white stripe is kill switch . There are 2 wires going to coil the black one is ground.
