Default ok the sarter is in

new baterry and starter...what a pita that ws to put in...with the little chai and what not. Now it cranks over and I have spark. But it cranks real slow. If I take the spark plug out it turns over great. I gues these things don't have any kind of copmression release?????

Did you charge the new battery?
Check battery ground cable at frame?
check solonoid mounting ground?
Was spark plug wet when you removed it?
Crankcase oil level?

Default got it running.

Changed the battery terminals as there were some weak conections in there so I clipped the wies and put new terminals on. The thing runs good! It is much faster then I thought it would be....even with my fat two hundred lb. azz on it. So this thing is for a 7 year old kid. Where is the govenor and how do I set it?...I need to turn it way back. I was thinking it had something to do with the idle screw. As when it started it was wound all the way in. I wound it all the way out then set it till it started idling smooth. Any help would be great!.... An owners manual would be sweet huh?...lol

I have a couple 110cc quad owners manuals. Is your's a 110cc quad? I kind of suspect so because of the way you described the chain and the starter motor as being a pain.

If your quad is a 110cc you may get a lot of useful info out of these manuals. 110cc quads are so generic that that they often identical in many respects.

These aren't full blown service manuals, yet they do contain routine stuff like valve adjustment, clutch adjustment, etc. If you want them send me your email address by private message. I'll attach them in a return email. You need to be able to receive 5 megabytes of attachment total. The manuals are in PDF format.

I found the hole where the gov. screw should be. So I got a nut and machine screw and gov. it down. a little blue lock tite and it is now much more suitable for a 6 year old.
