I will try that out too. Thanks for the idea. Also, would anyone know roughly how the idle screw and the fuel screw should be set. Have a feeling it may have beeen tampered with as well.

Idle stop screw doesn't matter until you have it running, because as soon as you give it throttle, it is off the stop. Turn mixture screw all the way in, taking note of how many turns this requires, then out two turns, if doing this doesn't help, screw it back to where it was originally.

Default To the tao tao guy.

Make sure the vacuum then to the tank is working properly and position properly. Also put a new battery in do not use the battery that comes with the bike. Absolutely I cannot say this again do not use the battery that comes with the bike. That is the root of all your evil with these Chinese motorcycles. change the battery and change the fuel lines to American fuel lines. Trust me then this thing will run good

Put a new battery in it. New American fuel lines that can handle American gas. And spark plug.
