110cc BMW quad help!
#1
Hi I just got a 110cc BMW atv off my boss. I have to jump it to start it that's the first problem the main problem is after it's started it turns off I'm guessing because there is a fuel line from the carb that isn't connected to anything is there a 90 degree angle type attachment I can get to attach to the hose and screw into the engine so the fuel hose can be attached? Please let me know and if you know somewhere I can get that part thanks my phone number is 2674433222
Thanks
Bryan

There are vent lines on quad engines that just hang down and don't connect to anything.
There are overflow lines from carburetors that just hang down and don't connect to anything. This is a good thing if you think about it. For example, if the carburetor float/needle valve cannot shut off the fuel from the tank (lodged debris for example) it would be very wise to dump the excess fuel out an overflow hose *under* the quad instead of pooling on top of the hot engine.
I'm not understanding the rest of your post at all.
If you leave the jumper cables hooked up, does your quad keep running (say for 15 minutes)?
Bryan, nobody is going to call you at your home number unless they are a total crackpot. The whole idea of a network community is that all discourse is public, and shared with all the others that might have your same predicament. This builds a searchable knowledge base that helps perhaps thousands of individuals. Calling you would help just one. This is not a good use of my time, or any others who know what they are doing. I'm not angry, just telling you the way it is...

Yes if the jumpers are on it will run for awhile but when I take them off and press the gas it shuts off. The hose that is hanging down is from the carborator and it leaked all the gas out and it looks like it hangs down right where a hose fitting should screw in. The reason I put my number was to have someone try to walk me the through it and easier to explain it but I understand thanks for your help

If your battery charging system isn't working, and your battery is totally kaputt (those two symptoms often go hand in hand since the first quickly causes the second), then when you disconnect the jumper cables the quad will die a short time later. This is because the 12 volt powered ignition system is totally being run on a near dead battery with no charging system to support it. If you have no power to run the ignition, the quad dies.
But you preempted/sidelined that entire scenario above when you say that fuel is leaking out an overflow hose. This is totally no good. Fix this first. Your carburetor needle seat valve (the thing that shuts off the gas to the carburetor internal resevoir when the carburetor is full) isn't working.
Do you have a fuel filter from the gas tank to the carburetor? If not you need to add one. They're really inexpensive. If you've got gunk in your gas tank, and you're without a fuel filter, you may find that your carburetor float/needle/seat valve gets debris lodged in the opening again, and you're back to square one.
Spend some time searching YouTube videos on carburetor cleaning. There are many good ones out there.
