is it leaking from air filter, or from the carb. Good to see that its cranking awesome job so far dude.
Can you shut off the petrol some bikes have a **** you can twist to stop petrol leaving the tank, then I would test spark.
Take lead off spark plug, remove spark plug, put lead back on plug and sit that resting on the motor making sure its touching metal, then crank and watch for a spark at the end of the plug. Then its carby clean out time, that's always a fun one!!....on the other hand, you are getting closer!!!!

okay it has spark, but as jaster said the needle is stuck open due to float valve, time to remove carby, should be 2 bolts that hold it on and take the fuel line off the top of it.
On bottom on carb will be some screws ranging from 2-3-4 once you take the bottom off you will see a float system wthe way that works is when the float is down fuel will come in, when enough fuel is in the carb the float will move up and close it off until more is required.
