Cleaned the carb today and now it runs great , the idler jet was almost completely blocked with stuff inside , took a thin wire and cleaned it out. at first it ran like full throttle without pressing gas , was kinda scary . then i loosened the adjuster screw until the wheels barely moved. so im almost done and want to thank you 2 guys , couldn't have done it without you. and thanks again vulgerwolf for convincing me not to sell it.I will upload a video of it running after I get a battery , brake lever , and new filter . also will i need a battery charger or do these have alternators to charge it?

alternator=stator. yes you have a stator. it's the atv's version of an alternator.

battery chargers are good for when the battery is run down and you're charging it back up overnight or whenever from sitting a while. the battery at rest should be around 12-12.6 volts static. when quad is idling, it ought to be about 12.6-13 volts. when revved up, it should be around 14 volts. measure this with your ohm meter/voltmeter across the battery terminals. set the meter to low voltage AC. red lead on positive and black lead on negative. then it'll read the stator output. a battery charger is for maintenance. stator is for "on the run".
