DOT 3 is used in almost every car made in the last 50 years DOT 4 is used in things like (smallish) moving vans. Does a quads brakes really generate enough heat to require DOT 4 or is it cause it has some other property i'm unaware of (maybe more tolarant of water?)?
Again I ask in ignorance cause everything i've ever ran used steel cables.

Done a bit of searching and looks like most bikes have a wet clutch, told you I was new to bikes Would this be right? don't want to put the wrong oil in.

No matter all Motorcycle grade oil are made for wet clutches.
There's even full synthetic oils like Amsoil that are made for wet clutches.
