E-Ton Viper kickstarter mystery
#1
I recently bought three E-Ton 2-stroke Vipers, two 90s & one 70, that a guy had in storage. Nice machines, but now that I have them running, I see no way to secure the kickstarter arms to the spline, so they vibrate off after a few minutes. The cast steel arms look like they were made to be drilled, tapped and split like most kickstarters, but never were. On-line parts diagrams show no through bolts, but the 70's owner's manual has a photo of one conventionally pinch-bolted. All came from the same dealer at the same time when new. Was this maybe a job the dealer was supposed to do, but didn't? Bottom line, how do you guys keep 'em on?!
