Default E-Ton Viper kickstarter mystery

I recently bought three E-Ton 2-stroke Vipers, two 90s & one 70, that a guy had in storage. Nice machines, but now that I have them running, I see no way to secure the kickstarter arms to the spline, so they vibrate off after a few minutes. The cast steel arms look like they were made to be drilled, tapped and split like most kickstarters, but never were. On-line parts diagrams show no through bolts, but the 70's owner's manual has a photo of one conventionally pinch-bolted. All came from the same dealer at the same time when new. Was this maybe a job the dealer was supposed to do, but didn't? Bottom line, how do you guys keep 'em on?!

contact Eton directly. they may be a factory mistake or they would know what repair/replacement options are available.

I actually went through this with ETON already, they told me the kickstarter was meant to be stored under the seat, and not on the shaft while riding, which is why they do not have the option to secure it to the shaft.

There's the answer! Thank you very much. (Why didn't I think of that?)
