True point. The rings were pretty worn come to think of it. The main reason I replaced it was bc one of the rings had sheared and scored the piston like tiger claws- fortunately the cyl. wall wasn't damaged.
I'll break out the comp tester today and see what she's got.

 

You were on to something. Tested compression yesterday and only got 61 out of it. Enough is enough, next stop craigslist.

You can get a complete new kit ie:cylinder/piston/rings/brg/pin/clips on ebay for cheap.
The LT80 kits are like $55. for all that.

Not too bad I suppose. Got the piston kit for very little, guess I could spring for a new jug. Maybe I'll take it a bit further.
