I was given a Buyang 50cc and it seems like someone tried removed the ign switch, starter switch on the handle bars and run switch.... How can I simplify the system.

 

By simplify I mean after market push button starter switch and automotive style on off power switch....

 

That is complicating things, most Quads have a totally different ignition system to cars. Just buy an ignition switch and a handlebar kill/starter switch unit for Chinese quads.

 

its not that quite easy... as i have looked deeper into the harness it looks like they have cut or disconnected most of the wires going to the starter, cdi, coil and i do not see the ignition switch or the wireless kill switch.

 

if some one could help me with a wiring diagram or what terminals on the parts go where???

 

Just googled Buyang 50 wiring and about 20 diagrams came up.

 

Thank you for your help.... i just found a post that LynnEdwards had put up that had a "Barebones" wiring diagram. It looks like i can get it running correctly with this!

 

that will be easiest as chinese atv color codes vary but are usually somewhat consistent on plug-ins

 

i have the stock key switch in my import atv but for starting i got a heavy duty push button start switch and wired it direct to both sides on the solenoid on the starter. Been working great for 2 years now.
