Jackel 250 R
Hi: I was given a used Jackel 250 R back in December. I didn't even know they made Chinese atv's? I cannot find much info on web about this atv. It will not start. I bought a new battery for it, and it will turn over, but no spark. I have the atv at a mechanic's shop that works mostly on cars, but does some atv/bike work. He has taken the cdi out, and thinks it might be the problem. It is a Jianmor 4 pin cdi. I have looked everywere, and have bought 2 on ebay, and sent both back. Pins on mine are close together. Cdi box is smaller than what I have purchased. Why do I not find much info on this atv??? I have read the posts people have posted on this forum.
Why can I not post a picture into this message??? Thanks

Instead of the Chinese maker's badge, many imports have the sellers badge on them. Some sellers were reputable dealers, others chancers that bought a container load, stuck their own label on them and sold them on eBay, still in the box. The vin plate may give you the maker, but many Chinese makes don't appear on the vin translation websites.

Thanks! Where is the vin plate??? What is the chinese maker's badge???
Is it possible to use another cdi on this? Where would I find a female terminal to go with another cdi unit? Jackel has a web site, but is not useable.
If I could post a picture of the atv I would. Why does this forum prevent user's from posting picture's until 15 posts???

Just googled Jackel 250 R and a decent looking site came up tops. 250R ATV's - Jackel Motorsports They are dealer/importers and recon to have a dealer network. What is your problem with going to them for parts?
The vin plate can be anywhere, often behind the front bull bars, and if the maker puts their own badge on, it is stuck on the sides of the tank plastics as a rule.
