Default Kymco MXU 250 Questions.

So I have a few questions regarding a Kymco MXU 250 I have, so when I first started to work on it I couldn't get it to start at all. I couldn't even get power up to the instrument panel. So I replace the entire wiring harness, then I was able to get it to start on starting fluid and such and I switched out the instrument panel with one from a MXU 150 it connects the same but it doesn't display the engine heat and maybe couple other things. My question is with a different panel from a ATV that doesn't have cooling on a ATV that does have coolant and has a coolant fan will it work to turn the fan on and off automatically even though it's a slightly different instrument display?

With that being said, if the answer is no, then would I be right in assuming I could just hardwire a switch and turn the fan on when I have the ATV running, would that work and be a viable solution.

Don't know the model at all, but test the fan circuit by jumping the temperature sender switch. Single wire senders need the wire shorting to earth, two wire senders need them connecting. If the fan then runs, with ignition on, all is well. Some bikes have two senders, one for the temp gauge or warning light, t'other for the fan.

Bridging both wires from the thermostat worked thank you. Now to deal with the carburetor and it should be good to go.
