Default Can jump start, but no power

I bought my son a used Chinese atv. It sat under the shed until today for a couple of weeks. I charged the battery and started it up to make sure it ran. I turned the switch and the ignition off. When he came outside I went to start it and it wouldnt start again. Thought I needed to jump it. I connected the jumper box to the battery terminals and It sounded like it was wanting to start but wouldnt. After a few minutes of trying to start it, it just gave up completely trying to turn over. I no longer had power going to the FNR display, brake lights or the electric start. After trying to trace down the problem, I realized I was trying to start it with the kill switch in the off position. I checked the fuse coming from the battery and it was still good. When I removed the fuse I could hear some clicking up front. I tried to find the clicking but after a few times of touching the wire to the fuse to make it click, it stoped making the click. Im able to have the key in the ON position and jump the solenoid with a screwdriver and the the motor to start and run.
How do I find out which brand I have? It has Phoenix on the foam cross bar but nothing else. The VIN plate has a model number but google doesnt provide any leads.
Model # BF-ATV-125E
VIN LOUSCJL28HA102750

Any help would be much appreciated.
Joe

Googling BF-ATV-125E fetches up TaoTao, try it and see if the pictures agree with your machine. The VIN is wrong as O isn't used in VINs. If it is a C then it was made by China First Auto Group. Seems like you have fried a wire or some electrical component with all that churning of the starter motor. If nothing works but the fuses haven't blown, check for positive at both sides of the ignition switch, as it branches off from there to the dash, start button, etc.

So if the 4 wires I have 12v on the red and no power on any others with the key in the on position. So I'm assuming that's it. I ordered another one so we'll see when it gets here. So let me know if I got this right? Power go to the switch on the red then out to the push start with the key in the on position. Then sends 12v to the starter when pushing the start button?

Yes, that is more or less it. On the four wire switch units there are two independent switches, one earths the kill wire, the other switch links positive from fuse to wire going to start button circuit, dash lights, etc. The start button only powers the solenoid, it is the solenoid that then links positive through the thick wires to the starter.
