Drill start on 110cc - Broken Nut
Hey Folks,
I have a Chinese 110cc for my son. I was sick and tired of the battery always being dead, so I decided to start using the drill-start method.
Anyways, I now need a replacement nut and I am having trouble finding the right one. Isn't this nut reverse threaded so it doesn't back out when running (the drill needs to be in reverse to start the bike)?
I wasn't sure if this is called a stator nut, flywheel nut, crank nut, etc.... hence my trouble. Any links or part numbers would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Joe

Assuming it is a Honda Cub clone engine, I'm fairly sure it isn't a LH thread, just checked the Honda 90 manual and it just says "flywheel nut, use the universal holder" (which stops the flywheel turning). I would advise you sort out the charging circuit, and charging the battery will make you a lot less "sick and tired" than fitting a new crank would, if you spoiled the crank threads drill starting it. https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemp...3d7/alternator
