Default Apollo Sniper battery issues?

I have an Apollo Sniper 125. I got the ATV with a dead battery. We jumped it and the ATV ran fine. However the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I replaced the battery and the new battery wont initiate a crank. Additionally the new battery has now drained since being connected. I used my pickup and jumped the AT Vand was easily able to get it run. Thoughts?

Seems like there is a constant heavy drain on the battery. Any drain which occurs with ignition off will probably be through the voltage regulator. Charge the battery up, then put a high ampage ammeter between a battery terminal and the battery, see if there is a drain, if there is, disconnect the regulator wiring plug and see if the drain disappears.
