Default TaoTao 250 Rear sprocket removal

I would like to do some upgrades to my recently acquired 2013 TaoTao 250. I have run into an issue removing the rear sprocket. In the tutorial videos I have watched the sprocket is mounted on the wheel side of the mounting flange allowing it to be unbolted and removed when the left rear wheel is off . Looking at mine it is mounted on the inside of the mounting flange trapping it between the flange and the axle carrier. Any help is much appreciated.

Interesting. May have to remove the axle and strip from the other end? Sorta looks like it.

It appears I will have to pull the axle to make the sprocket change . Not being familiar with Chinese ATV`s I was hoping there was an easier way .

Yes, you have to pull the axle. I believe the same axle is used on several models by flipping things around, thus the design. Easy to do though.
