Below are pictures of my 90CC BAJA

When I removed the governor which unrestricted the engine, the engine was having ALL sorts of problems such as going REALLY fast then dying all of a sudden.

SO, I decided to stick with the governor but the engine seems very CHOKEY.

I was thinking of doing the FOLLOWING:
-Dump old gas and put in fresh gas
-Do an oil change
-Install new high performance spark plug
-Pump tires
-Lube chain

What else do you recommend?

Welcome to the forum King_Loco!

Where was the governor?

Id start by cleaning the carb.. but more than likely you need a bigger pilot and main jet.. ALL of the Chinese quads are jetter very lean to pass CARB and or EPA tests.. most are set up for the CARB(cal. tests) which is very lean..

Thank you for welcoming me!

Governor on all 90cc Baja Quad's is located directly under the left rear fender.

Lastly, I have NO Carb experience and carbs hate me ;O

I thought all Baja's had adjustable CDIs (with screw jumpers and trim pots) - not plug in external rev limiters. Are sure you're unplugging a rev limiter, and not something else like the voltage regulator?

Positive.

I contacted Baja and when I unplugged this gov, it made the engine very unrestricted and go twice the speed

Thanks..I didnt know any of them had governors..

Id think letting the engine rev more only makes the lean condition worse..

Go to youtube and do a search for chinese atv carb rebuild...
