tao tao 110 no spark
#1
Hey everyone,
I have three tao tao 110 atvs for my kids. last week my daughter was riding and hers quit. no spark. i changed the plug and swapped all of the electrical components over form one to the other with no avail. tried coil, cdi, kill switch, ignition switch, etc. i literally have swapped everything over and this one still will not spark. i have extensive mechanical background and it has me puzzled. the only thing left is the stator. any suggestions before i go there?

Welcome to the forum tja2841!
I moved this thread so you might get more responses..
Im not a real electrical expert (not even close to Lynns knowledge) so the first thing I do is look for a bad wire connection(this has taken 2 of my Chinese quads at different times) Id pull all the connections apart and re crimp them so they are a snug fit..
The other thing I look for is a bad ground..(this was the case with one of my quads) ALL the ground wires went to 1 place and it was a very thin wire.
If you dont have a OHM meter Id get one of those.. real handy to check if wires are good and if your getting the correct volts to the right place..
