clutch plate thickness?

Default clutch plate thickness?

i measured them and i most are atleast 15 thou over min spec, should i replace them?

NO WAY!! That means there still good man!.... put your new clutch springs in and ride! Any LESS than spec means they're worn out...

would they still work if they were less than that?

If they are thinner than spec they would most likely slip....

o ok, thanx, mine only slips over 3/4 throttle

No prob, just get those different springs in and you will be good to go...

Default clutch plate thickness?

where'd you find a spec on individual disk thickness? the only spec my manual has is overall thickness of total clutch package, which is even misprinted and I had to convert from the metric spec to reveal a missing 0 in the conversion!!! this is off the top of my head so don't quote me on it - but it seems like the manual says 1.827" min, but its actually 1.0827" total thickness.

as soon as my clutch started slipping (due to added hp and haulers), I got new springs but it was too late - the disks were already worn from one sand ride and a day of drags. $25 in springs cost me $80 in disks!!!

o well mine was like around 1.5" i think, i can't remember off the top of my head now

and its in the shop manual in the tech data i think, i'm pretty sure thats the min thickness
