At my local riding area, there was one person I ran into that re-jetted and installed a pipe on his 99 Sportsman 500cc 4x4.He said it was a big waste of money and was not real happy with the performance differance. So I opted to not do mine.Instead,I installed a HP clutch kit.===Bill

The best thing i heard to do to a 500 sportsman is to put a 500 scrambler carb on it.(im selling mine if you want it email me) or put the cam in it for about 149 from aaen performance. Or if you wanna a bighger carb go for a 42mm made by aaen but you have to buy there manifold kit to..
