Do they have a choke?
how does the thumb throttle work?
Does it require alot less pressure than say a tm45?
I am thinking about switching carbs i have not had a hard time with the tm45 once i got it jetted right it has worked good. It does require a significant pressure useing a thumb throttle setup. I still not to happy about the pump rod being out side the carb i ride mostly in the sand. Will i see some performance increase if i switch?just wanted some opinions before i buy. Also thanks for all the help jetting the tm45 when i first put it on.
P.S. I might have a tm45 coming up for sale soon

Do they have a choke? Yes
how does the thumb throttle work? about equal pressure as stock but longer throw
Does it require alot less pressure than say a tm45? I believe that depends if you have the accelerator pump activated on the tm45
Will I see some performance increase if I switch? IF the tm45 is jetted properly the performance difference is marginal when compared to the hv46. The big issue is the IF it is jetted properly, this is true for either carb, but from what I understand the hv46 is more forgiving when it comes to fine tuning and adjustment with change of altitude
