Big Crash needs lots of spare
#1
hi everyone
just had an almost head on collision with a small car on my girlfriends 2005 outlander max xt
the dealer told me it was a 2005 although we bought it in november 2004 and the chassis plate says manufacture 09-2004 model 2g5e can anyone confirm this is model (2g5e) is a 2005 as they already started selling 2006 models now sounds feasible ?
so i don't get screwed by the UK insurance company i am trying to get an idea of prices for the parts listed below
complete SST Frame
rear alloy frame including rear grab handle
1 rear drive shaft
1 rear shock absorber
1 rear diff
1 rear wheel and 2 standard carlisle act tyres
complete set of new plastics
front and rear racks (will the new metal 2006 racks fit ?)
1 set of handlebars and hand guards
it would have been head on but i managed to squeeze the front of the quad between the car and the grass bank so the car hit the side of the quad just past the petrol tank and took out most of the back end
the wheel and tyre are dead, 1 rear drive shaft snapped and left part of the shaft in the diff so the diff may or may not be ok
the frame is bent where both the foot pegs and the rear swinging arms attach and the alloy section of rear frame that provides a rear grab handle and supports the rear mudguard has snapped under the mudguard
i have minor bruising a cut arm and a headache as i flew over the top of the car and landed on my head :-( (sea-doo crash helmet saved the day)
the poor little car is a mess
any help with prices for the above parts would be helpfull
photos of the dead quad and car are free on request photos of me you will have to pay for :-)
thanks for any help
Rob.
