recon drive shaft
#1
can you twist or bend the drive shaft on the recon? I do some pretty big jumps with mine, but i try to keep the throttle positioned perfectly so that the tires are spinning as fast as i am going through the air. My friend says i should be careful, is he right?

I doubt you can bend your drive shaft, but beware, utility quads (such as a recon) are not made to be jumped. AS you will find later on (if you continue to jump it) you will start to bottom out and get poor results when you ride on trails as the shocks will wear out because they were not made to be jumped. But if you want to you can keep jumping it, I'd think that you're dad probably pays for your atv any how so you probably don't really care... ehh, am I right? Just my oppinion, you may or may not choose to take it literally though. ( I don't know everything as I am only 15, so I hope that someone else will back me up

I'm 16 and backing you up!!
My dad bought my Recon, but I pay for everything that breaks. I ride the way i choose. Ramp. I allways do, and i haven't had any problems. I usualy land steep and on full power. I hadly ever bottom-out, even on jumps that make my guts fall out in fear. The Recon always pulls through. I had to replace my clutch for $350, but I think that was from "popping the clutch" doing wheelies. My brothers is going, but he doesn't jump or do wheelies (to my knowledge).

I jump my Recon A LOT! I hope my rear shock will go soon so that I can get a good one. I am 13, my dad bought my Recon. My mom buys me gas as I am not old enough to work, or to drive to town to mow lawns! Know what I'm sayin'?
