Problems with reverse and low range
#1
Often I have problems shifting into reverse or low range on my AC 500 auto. It makes a clicking sound as it's not fully engaged. It only has 150 miles on it, so I'm thinking it still may be a little "stiff". It often happens when the bike is fully stopped which I don't understand. Is this a common problem? Is there something I can adjust to improve it? It's not getting any worse, but I'm afraid it may lead to bigger issues down the road.

Mine would do that going from low to high or reverse to neutral. The remedy was to over shift - ie low to neutral to high or out of reverse to high then nuetral. After a few hundred miles (300ish) it quit doing it. Being new and tight was what my dealer told me when I inquired.

My 03 400i would do the same thing when i tried to go from low to high, i'd have to shift from low to nuetral then back to high. so it would all of a sudden slam into gear, but it didn't bother me enough to matter.
