Ok, a little help. I am under the impression, that the 48 Lectron requires the extended thumb throttle. Does that come with a whole new throttle housing, or is it just a longer thumb throw in general. If it is the latter, it would not change how far it pulls the cable, it would just lessen the pull on the thumb.....Explain please

 

Its the whole housing... the stock throttle will not fully open the Lectron slide. The new one has more pull.

 

Being the whole housing makes much more scence. I just was not sure....

Brent are you looking at a 48 for a stock bore or are you considering a big bore?As you have seen my 46 does me quite well and i will only switch if i go to a big bore in the future.

dragon like dune and cloftis said if you are plannig to go with a big bore in the future then get the 48hv if not just get the 46hv but it might not hurt just to get the big carb choose is running a 48hv i believe on a stock bore stock engine. just my 2 cents. good luck on what you do.

 

Thats correct. I have been running the 48 on this stock motor for approx 2 yrs without any problem. I do think the nitrous makes a bigger impact (power wise) while running the 48 as opposed to the 46....just a little food for thought.
