How do I remove the gas tank on a 1987 350trx 4-wheeler?
#1
A friend of mine was going to throw away a 1987 Honda Foreman 350trx 4-wheeler before I intervened. He took it in ~6 years ago and the ATV shop told him that it was going to cost as much to fix it as it is worth. BUT, he can't remember what they said was wrong with it. Instead, he just bought a new one. The bike has been stored inside and looks great. I rescued the ATV from the scrap heap and need to drain the old fuel and scrub the inside of the tank. I don't know if the engine is okay or if it's something with the drive train so I've gotta try to see if it will crank first. Since the tank has some rusty, flakey material on the upper (dry) portion of the tank and is ~1/4 full of old fuel, I'm figuring I need to drain and scrub the inside of it. The tank is under the seat and doesn't appear to come out easily. I need a manual but thought I'd ask while I try to get one.
Is there anything that would make a 4-wheeler not worth fixing?
Thanks for any replies!
