660 grizzzly clutch

Default 660 grizzzly clutch

tore my clutch apart to clean. do i have to replace the one way clutch bearing. some help would be apprciated thanks.

Default 660 grizzzly clutch

The one way clutch bearing acts as an "engine brake" - when the wheels push the quad on deceleration the 1 way bearing grabs the engine shaft and uses engine back pressure to help slow things down.

As long as the bearing is grabbing and not allowing a "free wheel" deceleration, there is no need to replace it.

thanxs for the info. Iguess what Iam asking is when i put the clutch in the clutch housing. the clutch is suppose to spine free counter clockwise or not. thanxs for the help.

One direction, the clutch should spin free, the other direction it should not.........
Logically speaking (because I cannot remember which direction without actually looking at one), you would expect the "free" direction to be rotating the clutch towards the rear of the quad - the "locked" direction would be rotating the clutch towards the front of the quad............
