Default 2005' 700 EFI - Fan quit/overheating - lost power

I replaced a few items on my quad latley (CV boot, Belt, ehaust gasget, etc). After cleaning and putting back together I took for a test ride. The machine was overheating (fluid maxed out in the window, overflowing). The radiator is clean on the exterior. I notice that I have a loss of power. The fan quit working -I believe this is why it's overheating. Is there a safety restrictor if the machine gets hot? Everything else seems right - it starts and idles good, runs good, throttle cable seems ok; I just have a lot less throttle. ?????????????
Thanks... Jeff

Put it in park, Lock the brake and unplug the temp sending unit, Start it up and see if the fan comes on, if it does then its not the fan if it doesnt then the fan is bad.
