NOT necessary to change clutch! Usually one way bearing on front clutch needs cleaning/lubrication or clutch alignment problem..remove cover blow out dust(well ventilated area a must) check belt to see if worn/glazed,also one way bearing in front drive clutch must be free to turn smoothly one way only and must have .020 clearance between back of one way bearing and clutch sheath. MUST have special tools to tear down front clutch if its the problem. Rear driven clutch has roller bushings that can wear also. CHECK the easy stuff first! Belt usually rides up on sheath not allowing bearing to do its job! While running rear clutch should not turn! Shims can be added/removed from behind rear clutch to help align also, plus front motor mount can be loosened and pulled rearward if necessary to see if helps! center to center of clutches should be 10 inches(measured from center of clutch bolts) Dont know if this helps you,but can possibly give you a way to check out! Good luck keep us posted

I am having the same problem and a buddy told me about a possible bearing issue. However, and I'm sure this isn't the best mechanical advice, I found one solution is to simply turn your idle down. My idle was pretty fast (about 1400 I think). When I turn it down so that it reads around 1000, it shifts fine.
