Default Engine dies when I shift into reverse ??

The engine dies when I shift into reverse. It just started doing this. The only thing I have done recently is replace the ignition switch.
Its a 94 Sportsman 400 4X4.

Any Ideas ?
Thanks

it sounds like its in the limiter can you hold the override switch in and put it in reverse and it stay running mine was like that and i did away with the limiter and fixed the problem.

YES! it works when I hold in the override.
How do you bypass the limiter ?

Disconnecting limiter allows full power in reverse, override button is disabled. Older machines prone to have this happen. just disconnect black wire from limiter module that goes into terminal board.

By pulling the black wire you will still need to hold the button to have 4x4 in reverse

yea like he said pulling the black wire... i literally just did this the other day... after you take you headlight assembly off there is the wire board or whatever.. on the top left there are 2 black wires one on top of the other.. you take out the bottom one... when i first did it i took off the top one.. i was like YES i fixed it.. pulled it back in the garage and shawzam the wheeler wouldnt shut off... so yea make sure you do the one below the first one...
