Default Throttle Adj.

I have been having a minor problem with my Xp. When starting off from idle I somtimes have a dead spot when I first press the thumb lever. It has killed it a couple of times but most of the time it just kind of misses and then catches again.
Would this be the throttle body adj./gap or the freeplay in the throttle cable?

READ you manual carefully, the xp slack is set INSIDE throttle housing with about 2 mm between contact points on etc switch,NOT like all the other models that adjust by thumb throttle slack! This may or may not be the dead spot you are describing! Good luck
