Default VBIKE 250 V45 Wont run without choke.

I recently purchased at VBIKE 250 V45 so I don't know a significant amount of history. I do believe it sat for some time??? It will start when maximally chocked and will continue to run rather roughly. Even when warmed up for several minutes, the bike must remained choked to run. I assume it is a mixture problem and I need to take the carburator apart and look for debris etc.. Any other suggestions??? I am trying to get it to run without being choked so I can adjust the carburator.

Thanks!

Air leak perhaps? More likely a clogged carburetor from sitting around.

There is a lot of written guidelines here and elsewhere on how to clean and adjust a quad carburetor, but sometimes I think a video is easier to absorb. Check this out:

YouTube - how motorcycle and atv carbs work

There are actually several more videos on youtube on the same subject.

Welcome to the forum GH250!

Id start by cleaning the carb....runnning on the choke is a sign of a clogged or too small of a pilot jet. Start with a clean carb and then see if it needs bigger jets.
