Default Gas Mileage 09 Sportsman 400 HO

What kind of gas mileage is normal?

seems i got about 50 miles out of my first tank, thats around 10 MPG. is this normal?

Def. not normal. Mine gets 22 mpg but it depends how you're driving it. 10 mpg is what I get with the tracks on and working it hard.

My 09 SP 500 gets arount 20mp canadian gallon , which is low compared to my 99 SP335

you cant just go by MPG on an ATV. What kind of trails do you ride? If your riding big open trails traveling around 20*25mph you should get more then 20. Hell my 800 gets 20 mpg in these conditions.

However if the trails your riding are slow technical trails then your going to use more gas and get lower mpg...

Same idea as EPA ratings for city/highway for cars.

you should avg. at least high teens, maybe low of 15 when diffcult trails. imo
