07 Sportsman 800 efi IDLE
#1
I was wondering what a prefered idle would be. right now mine is right about 1000 rpm. All gears shift great at this idle but it does seem to be a little high by ear. Also, Is there a Computer you can buy to hook to the machine instead of taking it to the Stealership or a way to adjust the idle without a computer (not by adjusting the thumb throttle either)
Thanks

1100-1200 rpm sounds about right for most of the popo's. If it's EFI the only way I know to adjust the calibrations other than the dealer is to get something along the lines of a power commander/ or other brand fuel optimizer that you can adjust.

Im not to rough on it yet. It doesn't even have 30 miles on it and mostly been pulling the kids on sleds behind it around the yard
. Although I have been practicing getting the front wheels up off the ground
Thanks for the Radiator tip. I'll be sure to watch for that if I get it in the mud which I'm sure I will. We have lots of two tracks and ORV trails here in Michigan. I plan on having years of fun
