Raptor 80 quit and wont start
#1
I have a 2000 Raptor 80 that my 10yr old rides. He was on it couple evenings ago, said he had been riding for about 10 minutes, and it quit. Said it kind of popped and backfired a little, lost power, then quit. Having to go from a 10 yr old's best memory.
I have pulled plug, is good. Has clean gas in the tank. He rides it quite a bit. Has good blue spark when grounding the plug, has compression (with finger in hole, no gauge reading). Turns over easy, but will not start. Tried spraying some carb cleaner in air intake, and still no start - not trying to start. Have checked the valves, and they are good, timing chain looks good. I have not taken carb off yet...
Any ideas or suggestions?
thanks
Ken
