in doing a bit of research i have read that like any other cdi, it cannot be tested. my cdi/coil does ohm, but only at the 20k ohm. my rectifier had become disconnected after reassembly. i'm thinking that is what did it in. i also installed a regular style solenoid in my lt. the stock ones were burning up after two starts. yes, they are $25, but that is high for something that lasts so short a time. to date, the lt has not started by the starter with this solenoid mod. now i don't have spark, so it won't until i do. the harness ground at the the rectifier is a bit melted, but no other wires are bad. could my solenoid mod have caused this? btw, the female spade for the rectifier was opened enough that the male spade would slip right out. maybe the rectifier blew? thanks in advance.
